The Tamil Nadu State Level Honours an event that was graceful
[PRESS RELEASE Tamil Nadu State Level Honours of UCMAS Abacus Mental Arithmetic Competition 2011, was held on the 9th October, 2011, at the Chennai Convention Centre, CTC Complex, Chennai. The Prize Distribution function scheduled for the day was started at 10.30 AM after the initial deliberations. Mr. Abdul Jafar, Admin. Manger welcomed the gathering which was followed by the brief on the Event by Mr. A.V. Sekhar, Vice President, and the key note address on the occasion by Chairman & Managing Director, Mr. Basheer Ahamed. Dr. Major M. Jailani, Dean, Mohamed Sathak College of Arts and Science & Former Member, Syndicate, University of Madras, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his address, he congratulated the UCMAS students, who were the winners in the state level and lauded the efforts of UCMAS India, for their unique role in sharpening the brain skills of the young children and making them embrace the best of skills in mental Arithmetic, which aids the children in their entire life time. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes and Certificates to the Winners representing the UCMAS centres, spread across different districts of the Tamil Nadu State. More than 700 students and parents were present on the occasion.
UCMAS India gave away special prizes too – Best Franchisee 1, 2 & 3 at the State Level, the Tamil Nadu & Puducherry State Level Champion of Champions. The Best Franchisees won their positions based on the number of students who won Champion and Runners Up positions. Each position fetched points for them and all together
cumulatively pushed them to the positions they won. Line Medu, Salem Centre won the Best Franchisee – First position; Chingleput – Perianatham Centre won the Best Franchisee – Second position and the third position of the Best Franchisee went to the Mettu Street – Kanchi Centre. The Best Franchisees had each won an attractive Trophy and also a citation matching their positions. Ms. C. Logeshwari, MP Academy, Line Medu Centre, Salesm, won the Tamil Nadu State Level Champion of Champions. The Champion of Champions position went to the student who was the best among the Champions of the levels 6 to Grand Level based on the special criteria fixed for the position. UCMAS – India congratulates the Winners. It was specially due to the best of efforts put in by the Franchisees, CIs and the students of the centres. UCMAS India also identified Well-performing Franchisees and Well-performing Course Instructors in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and honoured them on the stage. Apart from the range of awards, the Franchise centres who had turned out the maximum number of Graduates, who took the honours in the 4th All India Graduation Ceremony held on the 8th May 2011 were also honoured. The 12 Most Successful Franchise Centre - positions awarded recognized the achievements of the respective centres, based on the number of Graduates representing the centres. It was all an Awards-galore time on the 9th October – the Sunday, which made the recipients of awards revisit their efforts. The 5th All India UCMAS Abacus Competition for the Course Instructors, 2011 was also held earlier in the day, which started at 9 AM and among the 90 Course Instructors who took part in the competition, winners – Champion, Runner Up 1 – 3 in each level also were felicited. Course Instructors from different states were present to make it in the competition. UCMAS India lauds and respects all the participants’ efforts - not only those winning but all those who were a part of the event at the National level. The event which had a mix of colourful awards and cheerful winners ended by 3 PM with the vote of thanks and National Anthem.
